Nope not at all, duramax engines in those years run low at idle. I was concerned till I dig into it more

I meant to add that, but he mentioned mid-2000s. Yes, Dodge added DPF in late 2007, then DEF for the 2013 model year. So, for pre-DEF Rams, 2012 or older. DPF isn't that bad...

I didn't realize the ram's went that new without DEF. That gives a few more options.

its an 08 with the 6.7, the 2006s still had the 5.9 and after having a 6.7 I wont own another 5.9

My DMax 03 runs between 17 and 30 lbs at idle. I worried about it alot and had many diesel guys look at it. That's just how they are.
