What Trailer winch battery?

What size battery do you recommend for my winch mounted on my car hauler trailer?

I'm assuming I need deep cycle since I don't have charging capabilities for it at the moment.
So it will have to come out periodically, I imagine.

Long Jumper cables. Any vehicle, any time. No battery maintenance or replacement.
I don't use mine enough, so the battery would always be dead when I needed it, or have to be replaced more often. The jumpers are more annoying to have to get out.. but I only do it once a year or so, and I only had to buy them once.

You don't need a battery. Just put that boy in a hamster cage with a genny.

I keep one of these connected to my trailer battery, as often (or rare) as I use the winch, it does the job.

I had two systems for mine. I ran battery leads to my rear hitch and had leads off the battery to connect it. I also used the 12v accessories wire in the 7way to put a charge to it while driving. I also had a solar charger like Greg for when it was parked too.
