Whats a inline 6 worth??

I have a factory inline 6 that i pulled out of a 1986 CJ-7. Engine ran great when I pulled and just had a tune up 4 months earlier. I pulled to put a 5.3L generation IV Chevy engine. I have video of the engine running and all the wiring harness not cut, computer, all accessories that came with the engine. The factory 4 speed transmission is still attached but keeping the Dana 300. I have a few friends wanting to buy but not sure what this thing is worth. When had the engine tuned up I also had a clutch kit put in the transmission and tunned down the flywheel. Engine has 168,000 miles on it and has never been rebuilt any idea what its worth?

If I were in the market I might give you $500 but maybe because of the previous post I would be a scmuck.

I sold a 93 wrangler engine with 160k in running condition for $400 but that was 4yrs ago.

Depends if the accessories include a/c or at least the serpentine belt. Has the motor ever been rebuilt? The miles make it high to justify throwing much money at it. My clock is over 200k but I know it was rebuilt 100k ago. I'm looking at about 300 myself as being a good price for just the motor, but don't want the tranny. I would assume that the motor doesn't have ac because your tranny is not a 5 speed, right?

ha ha ha! I sold the 4.2, 5 speed trans and d300 from mine for like $1200 3 years ago! I don't think you could get that today. Only cost me a grand to get and install my V8.

Last one I sold got 100 bucks for just the motor. Im gusseing that you have the t-4 trans. probably not worth much. If you get 300 for the pair jump at it.
