Your Pic of The Day

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Paddling around a lake, glacier and massive waterfall in Juneau, AK today. Then about $300 worth of King Crab legs and an Alaskan Amber Ale... you only live once, right?

Are you just cruising the islands or heading to the mainland as well? If so I’ll let you in on a few locals hot spots.

Is the Juneau high school football field still made from clay and wood chips? 😂

On a cruise up the inland passageway, headed to Skagway tomorrow, then Anchorage... then Denali for a few days and back home.

I didn't see the HS football field in Juneau, but the locals in Ketchikan were bragging about their new turf field they just got last year, upgrading from dirt and wood chips.

Some more from Glacier. Spent a week camping in and around the park. Lots to see.
We watched a Mountain Goat moving around the rocks. Barely see him in the picture. Red arrow points to him. It was right after this that we ran into the bears in my first picture.

Paddleboarding Lake McDonald. Little haze from the Oregon & Washington wildfires. But was 100 times better than Utahs air quality.

On the western border of the park. Ruggedness of Glacier Park in the background.

Any additional info on your Glacier trip? Must see spots?

Our weekend plans went to hell - we were supposed to head to Cherry Hill for a family reunion, but my uncle was rushed to the hospital and passed away from a torn aortic valve. After trying to help anywhere we could with the family, I decided to keep my mind off things, and built the stairs for our back patio. I think they turned out good, I would like to cover up the sides of the steps but after messing with angles for 45 mins, I gave up and called it for now.

I think Gunther was the happiest to be able to use the doggy door again. Next is to clean up and fill the holes in the aluminum siding from the old POS deck thing, and paint it.

That looks great! Well done.

This past weekend my best friend bought a 2015 Mazda MX-5 Clubsport up in Boise and drove it back down to Phoenix. He stopped off for a bit so that we could compare and contrast with my 1990. Both are fun in there own way, and its amazing that for nearly 35 years now you can sit down in any Miata and get much the same experience as you could in the original. Such fun cars, its no wonder they're the best selling sports car in history.
