@Coco talked me into a set of Toyo AT3s several years ago and I've been running them ever since. I had a set on the F150, the Excursion, and the wife's 4Runner. Best AT tire I've found. Great in the snow.
Awesome! These are the RT Trail. Hoping they perform well Saturday when we go cut down our Christmas Tree.

Good bye POS wildpeak at3wa's. The "a" stands for Ass tires!

You didn't like them? I keep seeing glowing reviews for the Falken AT4s.

They aren't the same as the AT3W. The AT3Wa is the factory shit street tire with paper thin sidewalls and horrible tread wear. I got 22k miles on the stock tires since February and they're shot.

I had some real Wildpeak AT3W's on my last F150 and I was not impressed. They were terrible in snow and weren't great in sand.

I've read some glowing reports on Falkens but after 2 poor experiences, I won't be buying anything from them in the near future.

This is my first set of Toyo's. Hopefully they do what I need them to do.

Yeah the factory A's are not great. I would say they are better than the most factory tire options, but yeah they suck lol. I personally loved my AT3Ws, and the AT4Ws. The AT3s were amazing on my GX470, so I got another set for my F150. I have been running the AT4Ws on the shop truck and have really liked them also. The Toyo ATIII is also great, and I have been really liking that RT Trail but I haven't ran any yet. Another option that has been really impressive have been the Nokian Outpost nAT.

Is there any truth to the "kevlar" component of the Nokian Outposts? A guy at tire factory was telling me about it.
I looked at all of these and went with more BFG AT's today. It's like McDonalds, it may not be awesome (although they are great) but they won't suck and you know what to expect.

Aramid, yes very much so. They have tested them extensively and they have not punctured with up to I think they said ~1/8-3/8" width nails/spikes? I can't remember the exact width, but they were not allowed to stop punctures any bigger than that as police spike strips have wider spikes.

I know a lot of people love the BFGs, but it is exactly like you said. It is old tech, and only recently they updated to the KO3 (which is finally 3PMSF rated). I haven't heard much on that tire, but they also have not discontinued the KO2.

Look @DAA, maxtrax being used.
At one time we had 13 traction boards in use, all critical to the success. They work amazingly well at ”gliding” a synthetic line over a burm or rocks. The rope slides right through the channels with minimal friction and zero damage. We’ve used them for this countless times, awesome application.
