    Looking for a cage

I sent an email, but am still waiting for a response. I'm not a prima donna or anything, but email works a lot better for me at this stage.

    Looking for a cage

Thanks for the references. In case anyone else out there has a similar problem or comes across this in a search... Utah Powder Coating's parent company, Utah Wood and Iron, does metal fabrication http://utahwoodandiron.com/, though their website seems like most of their work is intended...

    Looking for a cage

I have a '72 k5 and I am in the market for a cage. I don't have to tools, space, or know how to build something I would trust. I am looking for some recommendations for shops that are reasonably priced and do great work. I am in the salt lake area, so anything within an hour of drive time is...

    Machine Shops in Provo

My truck has been in storage for the better part of a year now waiting for a new motor. I will finally be building a motor over the next few months and needed some recommendations for good machine shops in Provo, UT. TIA

    Ninja's

That was painfully stoooopid. Sadly, I can never get those minutes of my life back.

    Whats your mileage?

You guys are lucky. Granted I have a '72 K5 with 35's, 350cid, th350, and 3.73's, but I am getting just barely under 8 mpg as an average for all my driving (which is mostly city, but hwy isn't any different). If I could get up to 12, that would be a 50% increase... crazy!

    k5 blazer help

I was running the stock driveshaft with my 4" lift on my '72, but it was close to maxed out. Once I moved the axle back 1.5" and added another inch, the stock shaft was way too short. As far as axles go, like everyone mentioned, ideal would be a d60 in the front with either a 14 bolt or Dana...

If you guys had some money...

Everyone probably realizes the whole risk/return trade off thing. Sure mutual funds can generate higher returns than a money market account, but they also face higher risks. He said he didn't want any risk, so mutual funds are out. You face risks with any bonds as well, except treasury bonds...

    3-4-5 point harness legal?

I may be totally off on this, but I thought that seat belt laws were secondary laws until they started the "click it or ticket" campaign by which point the law was a primary law. The whole point of the campaign (which I believe started kinda like a pilot program in Hawaii) is that if you aren't...

My K5 and I just joined...

Wow, that is something to work up to. I have my hands full with one, I couldn't do 3 fullsizes right - not to mention the wife would have a fit. I am by no means a dyed-in-the-wool chevy guy, but I do have an affinity for Blazers. Nothing against those smaller size rigs; they are pretty...

My K5 and I just joined...

Here is a picture that is nearly a year old. I think you can click on it for a larger image. Since that picture I have lifted the rear another inch and moved the axle back 1.5". I have to get some longer e-brake lines and move the exhaust before I do any real wheeling, but I am hoping to...

My K5 and I just joined...

Just joined up and figured I would say hello. I drive an orange 1972 K5 around the Provo area with some 35" tires (it's a dd). Seems like a great source for some local knowledge and wheeling.
