I did the same on campers, 2x now. Zero issues having a panel up there, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE never worrying about power.

They are the same, you just need to worry about the carrier break to match your gears. 4.10 and down, 4.56 and up are the two options. (You can run "thick" high-ratio gears on a "low" carrier)
