    Ladies carry pistol?

If she wants an active safety, a baby 1911 clone is hard to beat. My wife carries a Sig P238 Scorpion in .380 and is awfully good with it. The P938 is the comparably sized 9mm, but the slide is much harder for little hands to work, hence our choice of the .380. Before that she shot a Walter...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

While on a break from erecting a small metal building to store the Ranger in, I installed a new and much higher tow hook on the old Bayliner. Hopefully this gets the tow rope out of the water and makes things more enjoyable for the kids.

    Your Pic of The Day

Pray tell - trust or individual? I really need a .22 rimfire suppressor, but I'm way more interested in the trust approach.

    Backpacking chair for the obese?

No smoking here, but the whiskey would definitely be appreciated, particularly on an outing with a bunch of teenage boys trying to drive one crazy. Of course, that particular indulgence is not Scout-appropriate. (: I would like to hear more about how you keep steak fresh and what little grill...

    Backpacking chair for the obese?

Ahh, come on now. My one real "indulgence" when backpacking is a Monarch chair by Alite (not in business any more, but now offered by Grand Trunk). I've carried that thing hundreds of miles, including on my long Philmont trek and have never begrudged its pound on my back when I get to lean back...

    Lighten the mood

My wife works with many university students and had an "Abcde," pronounced just like RockChucker posted. She also worked with a student named "Genocide," pronounced just like genocide. I thought that was quite a disservice to a young lady.

    Smoked Meat is Awesome!

A couple legs of lamb, hot off the pellet smoker. Forgot to get a post-slice pic, but these were delicious with a simple rub of olive oil, cane sugar, sea salt, and garlic.

Insurance Home/Auto/Etc. Who do you like?

You should be. I have six vehicles with four drivers, including a 21-yo (girl/young lady) and 19-yo (boy/young man). I'm about to add another car for my soon-to-be 15-yo daughter. My premium is a bit more than twice yours and will inevitably increase, probably a lot. It's painful.

What books are you reading (or listening to?)

I recently finished American Serengeti by Dan Flores on audiobook. Lots of good information about the history of the American Great Plains. https://www.amazon.com/American-Serengeti-Animals-Great-Plains/dp/070062466X

What books are you reading (or listening to?)

I started this series when there were just two books and liked it, but got sidetracked and forgot about the series. Thanks for the reminder.

    Garage / Man Cave Goals

Starting small here - I need a long weekend to finish insulating and paneling my little shop. Then I could get serious about organizing the tools in it.
