    Glockman's Rubi LJ

Are D44 ball joints any stronger than D30? (or TJ Rubi 44) My main hangup with that "upgrade" is that you're still stuck with what is IMO the same weak spot--the axle U-joints. You do have a stronger, less bendy housing, but that's about it in my eyes.

Wanted Jeep Fleetvan, FC, or old bread type delivery van

School bus? The short one is what I was thinking, but a big 'un might be fun too. :) https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/384897476554833/

@RockChucker will tell you to skip the 4Lxx and go to a 6L80. :)

    Lighten the mood

The same coworker told me about his Dad teaching him as a kid--he would leave an empty chamber in the revolver. If you flinched when the hammer dropped on the empty one, you got swatted in the back of the head.

    Lighten the mood

Years ago, shooting with a co-worker and my wife---he had her shoot his .357 loaded with 38 special rounds. All except the last chamber, which had a .357 magnum. She thought she broke something. :D

    The Rubi Q Build

The new track bar brackets definitely require the high steer knuckle, for exactly the same reason your high steer knuckle require the new track bar brackets. Drag link angle and track bar angle need to be pretty close to matching, or you get bump steer. If you added the track bar brackets...

    The Rubi Q Build

If I remember right (and things could have certainly changed in the last 12 years...) the 4" kit does not come with the high steer knuckle, where the 5" does. That's why the 5" kit comes with the new (and very necessary, as you pointed out) brackets and track bar.

    I hate Craigslist Lowballers...

That kind of stuff irritates me. Your problems aren't my problem. Here was one of mine. No reply after I suggested he make me an offer. I guess he wanted me to donate them??

    Buying a vehicle at auction

I bought one from IAAI, and IIRC I just wrote a check for it. Not all their auctions are available to the public though, so I had a friend who is a car dealer bid/buy for me. You should be aware there are auction fees and other BS that will add to your bid price.

    Wanted Dana 300

I think you've been saying this every year or so, for the past 15 years. I think it would have WAY MORE than paid for itself with saved frustration and worry by now.

Is that the multi-process one? Nice!

    New welder

I can't find the specs easily, but I bet there's a difference in duty cycle at least. And to enable his cheap-ness, I'd have to consider looking at the Harbor Freight Titanium MIG 170 for less $$, and the Vulcan MIGMax 215 for about the same $$ as the Home Depot version Lincoln. I have the...

    New welder

^^Summary complete. You're talking about getting what is essentially my exact same welder, although mine is the 15-year-ago model. It's treated me just great.

I need an impact gun because the one I have is older than @soopahick and it won't crush my crush sleeve #codyisawesomenobattlewins

You just need another cheater bar on the yoke holder, braced against the ground. :)

Your yoke holder, and a 6 ft. cheater on your breaker bar will do the job if you aren't wanting to spend the dollars.

    Coolant woes

There are test kits for combustion gases in the coolant, that might help diagnose a potential head gasket issue.

    New window tint laws

Does anyone have a recommendation (or a "stay away" warning) for tint places? I need to get my winders darkened, but don't want to do the legwork. :D
