Caanan Mtn. Court Date March 28th 9am

I would hope that the money U4 has been sitting on for the last couple years would be going to support this. In substantial amounts, not a $500 donation.

Does anyone know Dan's personal disposition on this? Does he still have a big legal bill? What's the penalty/fine for the conviction?

Yes!!! Sweet hubcaps! A '61 with the sliding side glass?

Devil's Racetrack ~ San Rafael Swell

Oh, a stock suburban? Yeah, that would be sketchy and likely cause rocker damage. A Dante's Peak suburban could make it tho. Keep a tab going. I'm sure I'll bail again if I ever get lucky enough for another invite. Oh, yeah. I'd have to agree with this and shade my black statement...

Devil's Racetrack ~ San Rafael Swell

Every Toyota owner should have a nice poser shot on DRT. You guys are getting soft. I don't have the poser pics, but I've lead and watched a stock* Xterra (1st gen), stock* XJ and stock Rubicon TJ walk through Fix-It Pass and DRT. Decent drivers in the X's and a crappy one in the TJ. No...

KSL is considering removing firearms from classifieds

I bought it (and a few others) this morning when I saw this thread. The survey is now closed on KSL. Interesting to see what they'll do.

Devil's Racetrack ~ San Rafael Swell

Only cruiser guys would have a poser pic of every rig crossing the DRT ledge. :) It doesn't take more than a stock 4x4 and decent driver. Like others here, I've taken a 4x4 on all of the routes mentioned and they're all passable and all very fun. Despite what you'll hear from many ATV/MC...

    5-Mile Pass south side

Now you know. That's why they're called designated routes. There's a lot more to getting out than "technical challenge". If you want to break stuff, spin tires, and use your winch, stick with Rattlesnake/WW/Constrictor. If you're interested in exploring, mining history, and being...

    5-Mile Pass south side

There aren't any technical routes open on the south side, but there's plenty of reason to explore the area. Some mines, plenty of dirt roads, and lots to explore. Staying on designated routes will keep you clear of the private property in the area, and you can pass through the area to reach...

Rick, I think Stratton (gravesdiggerxj) put it well. Its a catch 22 without an obvious answer. That's for this case. If something is closed, the rule would be that it's in our best interest to respect the area land managers. For example, coyote canyon in Moab. Respecting the closure is in our...

    Price utah trails

Closed by map or description. Whether a public use map is printed or not. Since the ROD was published at the end of 2008, I've considered the routes closed. That's me personally. If others want to run the trails and others want to advocate running the trails, I disagree, but that's just my...

Technically, but it's like a BYU student Vegas wedding. Know what I mean? They did publish this map (although it's highly unuseable) as part of the RMP ROD http://www.blm.gov/pgdata/etc/medialib/blm/ut/price_fo/Planning/rod_approved_rmp/maps.Par.43613.File.dat/Price%20Map%2018.pdf...

Suwa's lawsuit against the rmps won't be bringing any trails back. At best, the process will have to be started all over and hopefully there'd be opportunity to get additional routes on the map. Implying that the closures are in limbo and therefore invalid is a questionable suggestion at best.
