Yeah, sounds like you'll be using it a bit different than how I used mine so you should be fine if you'll be in it. I just didn't like the possibility of people eyeballing the contents when I stopped for fuel, overnight in a parking lot or anytime for that matter.

    Enclosed Trailer discussion

I liked the .040" of my Haulmark as it didn't get the deflection that the .030" on my Wells Cargo did. One thing I would NOT recommend is the screwless sides on the exterior or interior. They tried talking me into the screwless exterior for a cleaner look which I liked because I saw quite a...

    Enclosed Trailer discussion

I've had both a 24' Wells Cargo and a 26' Haulmark Edge race trailers. I purchased the Wells Cargo car-hauler in the early 90's in a wrecked condition and rebuilt it myself. It turned out great and we drug that thing all over the western U.S. and into Canada behind two different coaches as...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Axle fixture continued.... Next was to cut two pieces of .375” x 3” plate to the length of 11” and clamp in the mill vise to drill three holes in each. I figured if I decide to bolt these to the fabrication table I’ll be glad I drilled the holes prior to welding everything together...

I then decided to knock another project off of my white board in the mean time. All projects should start with a very detailed and accurate drawing. [emoji23] Inserts/slugs ready for drilling and tapping. Tapping 1/2”-13 threads. Two down two to go. Threaded...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

It's been a busy last couple of weeks. We started by getting the transmission temperature gauge and front locker wired up in my son's WJ. He decided on a location for the front locker switch where it was easily reached yet out of the way from getting bumped. We also installed an indicator...

    AMC Eagle ??

My sister who lives in Rock Springs, WY had one new back in the early 80's. I remember it never left her and got her wherever she needed to go but as it aged I had to replace vacuum lines as they rotted, and there were a ton of them. I do remember it being quite comfortable to drive though...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Nothing fun going on over the past couple of days. Just more of this crap, or should I say moving more of this crap. I'm ready for spring already.

Debate this with me: FWD car, good driver, where to put only 2 winter tires, front or back?

This wasn't a skid car system but I buy a lot of tires for our OTR trucks at work and I was invited to the Michelin test track in SC and got to drive various vehicles with various tires and varying track conditions and it was definitely a learning experience. I thought I knew quite a bit about...

Debate this with me: FWD car, good driver, where to put only 2 winter tires, front or back?

Not to sidetrack but if any of you ever get the time to drive on a test track under controlled conditions so you can duplicate EXACTLY from tire to tire and placement to placement you would be surprised. The ideal place to have new, deeper tread tires is on the rear.

IF, and I mean that's a big IF, the only reason is merely traction then you could put them on the front. But new tires should be put on the rear as that's where they keep the car straight on wet or slick roads.

    ZMotorSports 2011 JKUR Build Thread

On Saturday I made a couple of minor alterations to the Jeep to appease the local law. I absolutely despise mud flaps but with the bigger tires and aggressive departure angle of my rear bumper it’s a magnet for attention. I’ve been looking at the Teraflex transit flaps and decided to order a...

Pain is right. I did that same thing when we sold our last house and then made a commitment to myself that I wouldn't get that upside down in keys ever again. Mike

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

Like already mentioned above, you can start now with either refinancing or just changing your payment. My wife and I turned our original 30 year mortgage into a 15-year mortgage by paying extra each month and had our first home paid off by the time we were 37-years old. It was a great...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Last night after work I pressure washed all of the OPE and parked it back in the shop tonight to dry off and coated the undersides of the decks. One of the next couple of nights I’ll service the engines on the two mowers and put everything away until spring. Mike
