With the bedsides off, the mog might be able to carry it if there is a way to get it up there - maybe 54" off the ground. We still might have to divide it up as I'm not sure the mog will make it up out of the canyon with more than a couple thousand extra pounds on the back. I guess you don't...
You know, this is one of those things I almost wish I had never heard of. It is just unimaginable to me. It has consumed a bunch of my time since I heard about it yesterday. I am not a normally violent person, so I am unlikely to pick a fight, let alone think about killing someone. But your...
I'd be game to help out, depending on the weekend... So what ideas have been floated around? Cutting it up and carrying it? dragging it out? 9 miles is a ways...
Well, for one, the chassis is going to be about 1-2 feet too wide, depending on the track of the motorhome. Just getting it bolted up and drivable would be a job. Getting all of it functioning, like speedo, lights, etc sounds like a huge pain.
I'll buy locally if the price is reasonable and/or I want to touch/see item before buying. In these cases, I'll drive anywhere along the Wasatch Front. Otherwise, online is easier and usually cheaper.
Definitely two sides to this one, if not more - I've been following this for a while. I've no problem with using public land for grazing as long as the grazer's are paying for the right and helping maintain the public land. It is interesting from our point of view because the crux of his claim...
I used to put a can on the mog's stack when it had a straight-up exit. When my boys were younger, they got a kick out of catching the flying can. It's easiest to just drill a small hole at a low spot in each exhaust pipe and make sure it is coated with something so it doesn't rust out there...
Those 309's are the transportation workhorse of the third world. There is a good reason there are millions of them out there - everywhere except North America. It would make a really cool camper!
I've never heard of this happening. There has to be some problem causing it, not just defective fans. Water pump trashed so it isn't balanced/centered? Belts too tight? Maybe another pulley that isn't perfectly round?
You probably know this, but on an AR, an upper is a long way from a whole gun. Keep looking at all the parts and price out what you would need to add to that.
We have had good luck both with and without a realtor. In some ways, it is kind of like having a lawyer. If the buyer has a realtor, you might want one representing your interest. On some homes, you may want a realtor just to do all the legwork of getting it listed where it will be seen by...
After talking with the local DMV office about this for the Unimog, it looks like there isn't much advantage until 40 years. Basically they told me that at 30 years, you still pay $60-70 per year and the safety inspection still must be done. The registration only goes down to $10/year with no...
If the engine is running, I've never had the air lockers in the mog fail to function. Ive been with guys whose arb lockers weren't working, but it was always compressor issues and usually electrical. Luckily the mog's compressor is just a small 7th cylinder sticking out the side of the engine.
