I just stuck it on because I don't want to get anything else in the engine. I sucked a rag through it last night by accident. Didn't hurt anything. Just chewed it up and spit it out on the floor. Lots of little pieces of rag everywhere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Power steering pump, alternator and cooling lines left in the engine bay. Then install the transfer case and have some new driveshafts made. Then maybe I can drive it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the new fuel pump was not working. I hooked up an old Mercedes electric fuel pump to push all the air out of the system. It puts out 55 psi though which is way to much to run the engine. But it fired up. https://vimeo.com/195912036 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dodge Ram 2500

What you don't like 5 mpg? LOL I had the Cummins, my friend had the V10. He filled up everyday. I filled up every 3 days.

    Dodge Ram 2500

We had a V10 3500 and a Cummins when I was working for a company in Wyoming. Both had about 225K miles. Both still ran. Both pulled around a lot of heavy equipment in the oil field. Both had manual transmissions. Don't get an automatic unless you like replacing transmissions all the time.

Just for a quick comparison. New IP for the GM 6.2 $250-600 The old Mercedes (Rebuilt, no new ones) $1500 to $2500

Ok so on another forum they think something might be stuck inside. They said to get a clean bucket and then unhook my fuel line from my tank. And suck some diesel clean through the IP. They said that should fix it. I do have fuel reaching some injectors. So maybe that'll fix it. Does...

I have a little fuel at the injectors. But my guess is the IP is dead. So I'm going to find one. Usually you can find rebuilt ones for $300 for this thing. Parts are super cheap. That's one major reason to use this motor! The lift pump only cost me $15. On the mercedes engine it was $150.

I've cracked a few. I just hooked my Ram Cummins to the batteries to it. I'm getting air out of the Injection pump return line. And some fuel. So I don't know if that's progress or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hate using that stuff. I guess its my last resort now. If it was an old Detroit motor I would, oh wait, it is. ha ha.

Ok. Fuel pump is in. New solenoid. Been trying to crank it. But still no start. There must be a ton of air in the lines. Anyway a few pictures. Things are progressing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
