Non turbo IDIs are slow. Like frustratingly slow while towing. 150hp and 280lb/ft in a 6000+lb truck is woeful especially because you'll have to shift at 1,500 rpm. I'd spring for a newer gas super duty at the same cost. Even the 5.3 will tow and ride better.

Get a bigger bottle than you think you need. It's annoying to run out on a Saturday night.
