    Shawn...

For the first time in my life, I’ve got to agree with Shawn. Who took the big dump on the “Bloodhound”?

The new Ranger is going to kick Tacoma and 4Runner sales right in the nads

That last one was an Expedition. I saw these at SEMA as well and thought to myself this is what would happen if a Dodge and Tacoma ever mated.

    Need a new commuter vehicle

We went through this same issue a while ago. Ended up with a 2018 Chevy Equinox. Consistently pulls 30 mpg cruising at 85 to 90. It’s actually kinda fun to drive once the boost comes into play. It was cheapish, which is what I wanted for my 1000 mile commutes. I’ll likely sell it off once I’m in...

    D44 pinion bearing - play?

Is the pinion nut still torqued? Check that, but I’d wager you’re looking at replacing the pinion bearings at a minimum. You’d be a fool to not replace all the bearings and seals at the same time, but sometimes money talks. Six States pricing is very reasonable on these type of repairs.

Any plumbers on here willing to give advice? Hole in outside water line

I’m not familiar with the blue poly, but I have used the black. About 40 years ago we replaced the galvanized pipe on my moms house, and it still going strong. Me and my grandfather did it a day, and we didn’t tear up the entire yard. Here’s how we did it. We had a basement to work in, do yours...

Any plumbers on here willing to give advice? Hole in outside water line

Is that galvanized pipe? If so, how old is it? For a quick fix I’d cut that area out. Toss in a coupling, niple, and union and call it good for now. My threader is in Arizona, otherwise I’d let you borrow it. Harbor Freight has an ok set for pretty cheap though.

Jeep 4.0 valve leak - machine shop?

Since it’s leaking sitting on the bench I would bet your push rods and lifters are good. Run to Autozone and borrow a valve spring compressor and pull that valve out and see what it looks like.

    Toyota 4.0 V6 ??? Kind of a rant

I’ll just put this here for Marnie. It’ll mean I give up my truck for a few months, but Beckie has realized it can’t go with us.

Jeep Jeep Wrangler based truck (JT Gladiator)

My Az House is very near the Chrysler Proving Grounds. I’ve seen a lot of Jeep and Dodge prototypes running around, but nothing JK based. I’ll have to keep my phone handy when I travel. Did you know Masarati makes an SUV? It’s pretty freaking awesome. I’ll bet it can out accelerate the Hellcat!

Are you or crazy cat lady leaving food out for your animals? I have this problem in Az, food out is what usually attracts them and it’s illegal there to put them down.

What truck next, the Kevin B. edition.

My last 250 was a V-10 with the 430 gears. You could tow a house with that thing. It’ll pass everything but a gas station. Plan on replacing the ball joints, if they haven’t been already. I too blew a plug out on #5 cylinder. Not a huge deal to repair. Also, they ride like shit, so keep that in...
