Since you already have the 110V machine, why the dual volt? I've had good luck with my Hobart 220V machine. If I need portable, I have the Lincoln 110V. For everything light to heavy, if I'm working in the shop I'll use the 220V machine.
I used the flip up recessed D rings in mine for the reasons mentioned above. I don't need to invest in all the expensive E Track straps, and as I need, I just install another one if needed. Plus, I can just clean it out with a push broom.
You'll need two batteries to properly crank that engine over in the colder months. Just hook the winch up to one of the batteries. If you manage to kill both batteries, you're doing it wrong.
For what it's worth, I tow my 24' enclosed trailer with a 6.0 with the six speed auto and 4.10 gears. It tows every bit as good as my V-10 Super Duty did. I think the six speed has a lot to do with that.
I was referring to the tire coverage portion. Wasn't that part of the lift law? If it was part of that bill, and I really cant remember now, it appears to me like it would still be a law. If that's the case, the inspector could "advise" you, and you would get a pass. Then, Buford T could ticket...
I have a small gel-cell (ATVish) battery in my RZR trailer to run a couple lights. It does it fine. But, even the smallest fan will kill a battery in a hurry. If you're dead set on the fan, you'd better plan on a larger battery.
Wire the tow vehicle to charge it while you're driving, and...
Roof is a must. In a 4 seater you really need an interior rear view mirror. Windshield is another must have. I have Ryfabs I both of mine, it's the only way to go. PM Craig for the best price locally. I have a couple of half windshields here if you want to test drive one on yours, but I'll warn...
Yup, went through the exact same situation. I'm not sure on the laws now, but I was required to store her stuff for 90 days. I placed her clothes, furniture, and kids toys carefully in the pasture behind my house, then brought in a dumpster to haul it off. Sold the place, and I'll never rent...
I have the Ride Rites on my 150. I couldn't imagine towing anything without them. I completely drain mine when not towing. Going on. 6 years now, and no issues.
