    trail etiquette on pritchett canyon

My opinion as far as etiquette is it is first come, first served. If you ask and they are moving, it is completely up to them whether to let you play through. Different issue if they are repairing/lunching/talking. There are other issues to consider: The size of their group, the size of other...

advice for the new RV buyer

A couple of more comments on towing with class C's. the shorter ones do have less overhang, but usually less tow rating due to the smaller chassis. If you do go with a C, the F450 chassis is much heavier than the F350 and usually available as an option or in similar sizes. From what it sounds...

advice for the new RV buyer

I prefer a class A for towing. I would never buy new, but that is just me being cheap. If you do consider used, verify personally that every appliance works properly. If you haven't spent much time in a motorhome before, I suggest renting one for a long weekend with everyone you plan to...

    General Tech Revearse brake bleeder

Cheap large syringes for shop use can be had at Cal Ranch. They are intended for veterinary use.

Fridge/freezers, what can you tell me?

Kurt, I know the purpose of the article isn't commercial, but please include info in your article about costs and feature/cost comparison with your recommendations. Also on the more commercial side, is there any advantage to a group buy situation with these fridges? I would be interested in one.

    Dogs On Moab Trails

I'm with you, Jack. I love animals of all kinds, but I don't own any for a reason. Nobody minds a well-behaved dog out on the trail, but nothing is worse than a poorly-behaved or unleashed dog out doing whatever it wants whenever it wants.

where to get a good buy on a welder

Airgas and ebay are great, but I would stick with a big brand (Miller, Hobart, Lincoln) because of supplies and welders do need service from time to time. You will pay a little more, but IMO it is worth it.

2011 grand cherokee on hells revenge

Same vehicle was on Hell's Revenge the weekend before last. He was showing off the adjustable suspension making it go up and down. Looked like it had the front air dam/bumper molding removed to keep it from getting scraped up. Looks like a nice car - not my style.

    School me on the Rubicon?!

Great trail, fantastic scenery. Good camping, as long as you don't want to be by yourself. The trail is pretty fun done over 2 or 3 days. I'd compare it to the Golden Spike in length and difficulty - maybe more bumpy roads. Most serious obstacles have bypasses. I've only been in August -...

Archived prichet canyon chewy hill roll

x2. I go to Moab several times a year, but stopped going to EJS for those very reasons. I can take the crowds and enjoy most of the people and all of the machines. I just don't care to deal with all the offensive behavior and certainly don't want my young kids around it.

    th400 to 700r4

You probably know this already, but make sure the 700r4 from the late 80's era has been rebuilt to current specs before using it. Those early years were notorious for many weaknesses. All can be remedied by replacing internal parts with newer styles.

    diesel exhaust

My Freightliner runs a 5" exhaust on an 11 liter engine. I think the 14 liter engines run the same size. No offense intended, but I don't care how much the little Cummins is hopped up, you will get zero power gain with a 5" exhaust. It isn't needed unless you like the sound that huge pipe makes.

    Moab Rim

Probably my favorite trail in Moab! I'll kindof echo - Depends on how your vehicle is equipped and how good of driver you are. With lockers and some familiarity with your rigs capabilities, it isn't really difficult. The other factor that can come into account is fear of heights. You are...

    Firearm poll part 4

I'm in the 9 is fine camp. I have other calibers, but this is my favorite - cheap to shoot a lot of and really good ammo available to do whatever job is at hand.

    Firearm poll part 1

I guess I really don't fit the molds. Rock River AR15 is the only complete rifle in the last year besides some older military firearms.

None of the above: Springfield XDM. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Suburban 2500

I don't know specifically, but the tow rating is always based on the lowest rating of frame, hitch, axle(s), suspension, transfer case, transmission, brakes, wheels, and tires. Could be any one of those components or all of them that are lighter duty.

    Paying for Unified Police

Ok, I think I get it now. If you don't call it a tax then it isn't a tax.

    Paying for Unified Police

That's my question, too. Weren't you paying for police coverage by the sheriff's dept before? I'm assuming that now you aren't paying that in your county taxes for your area (sales or property - I don't know where it comes from).
