General Tech What did you work on Today?

It should work great, the Weber would be my go-to as well for simplicity and tuning.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Popular upgrade back in the day on 4.2L Jeeps. Depending on orientation, you’ve got the option of it being starved for fuel going up or down steep obstacles. 😂

I need to be schooled in SXS's

Yep, definitely the right choice for an “out of the box” crawler. The 99” WB is certainly helpful vs. many of the 2 seater options out there. The dual clutch design is where the magic happens, applying smooth non-jerky power that’s different than most the competition. Overbuilt and a bit...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

I refer to many of my projects as “nonsense”, but this one truly is. A couple DOM tubes (one slipped inside as an axle), some hole-sawing, weld/paint, re-purposed fancy billet end caps, and I’ve got a forward tilting hood/grille. At the very least, shock adjustments will be easier. 🤷‍♂️

    Dirt Muscle Car

I’m not sure you and I are contributing to this build the way Greg had hoped. 😂

I think you meant “Dirt Donk” or maybe “Donk Beater”. 🤔

    Wanted Church pews

Missed a whole bunch 2 weeks ago here in Payson. Old church is now leveled, but pews, fixtures, etc. were needing to be removed. I wanna get my hands on one of those big accordion style dividing doors for the inside of my shop. If I see anything, I’ll let ya know…

You’re a big boy, fill it more than that 12%. 😉

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Good point. I had been running this ratchet strap setup before making this latest version simply out of redundancy. You’ve reminded me that it would probably be best to continue with that practice, in the event I totally destroy a hub. 😎

    Dimple Dies & Cutting Holes

After 70+ dimpled holes in a recent project, I recommend applying grease or lube to your dies. People often don’t since it’s messy, but helps keep the die from sticking in your dimpled part and leaves less marks (if that matters). That’s all I got. 🤷‍♂️

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Recent work done between farm chores. 🤠 Reworked spare tire mount to utilize a spare hub/rotor. Spare CV shaft mount. Rebuilt rear CVs using new connecting shafts. Painted a stripe so I don’t have to guess how much they’ve twisted. 😂 Had a cool spare belt box sent to me, which fits in the...

A trip to the Gulag if done to Soviet rubles.

    Car Hauler

I’ve got one as well. The trailer itself is ok, but the 5x5 pattern is enough reason to either pass or go 6 lug.

Container ship delays at the ports

@Hickey, does your truck have a bullshit CA sticker with barcode like mine? If so, who is scanning them? I figured others may be interested as well, since at the very least it shows the power and reach CA. has to require commercial truck builders to put these on every new truck regardless of...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

To put it into perspective, this is only a 24 spline rear utv CV shaft, so a twig compared to 35 or 40 spline stuff. These are far stronger than OEM, but not quite as strong as a 300M RCV shaft. I’m not exactly sure when it started, but I could see the progression by the twisting vinyl sticker...

I know, right? 😂 It’s a CV connecting shaft and the other end looks just like it, but in the opposite direction.

General Tech BFG's new commercial tire, the HD-Terrain T/A KT

Another market that would be all over these are the hotshot transport guys. They rack up the miles for sure, but also want an aggressive good looking tire. Most stick with 35s and under for gooseneck/5th wheel trailer reasons.

I think I read somewhere that 68-ish is the norm. Still pretty rad regardless. 🇺🇸🦅

How fast would you guess he was going when you passed him? Whatever it was, he was probably running @ top speed. 😂
