I have been shooting a borrowed gamo in .177 Much better than the 10-pump. It has a little scope on it, and it kind of fun to shoot. The barrel breaks in half, then you load the pellet and then close the barrel again. Seems to work ok, but not super fast.

just some quick numbers, and these vary on lots of things. typical .357 158 gr bullet 1240 fps 539 ft-lbs typical .40 165 gr bullet 1150 fps 484 ft-lbs Much closer that I expected on the balistics. The .357 is about 10% larger than the 40. typical 38 148 gr 690 fps...

And the .357 will shoot the .38's as well. Little smaller to pack around, cheaper for the times of plinking. If you don't have a .357 yet maybe it is time :)
