    Kicking Up Dust...

Jinx, I too enjoyed getting caught back up with you. Can't believe how long its been. We probably spent more time talking about the personal side than the technical side - and that's just fine. I think that's one of the biggest reasons I've enjoyed this hobby/sport. I've met a lot of good people...

    Lame Joke Thread

That's the order I would have chosen if I'd ever had the money back when I played. No offense Steve, I know your dog's name is Fender.

    Did anybody see this?

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=34830762&cat=402&lpid=&search=&ad_cid=7 Saw this on KSL and thought it was kind of cool. Reminded me of a couple of things I made for the house out of my spare parts. Maybe I should have posted them in the "Show us your projects" thread?

Central Utah post-surgery July 5th run of Hanging Tree Trail or the Pinnacle Trail

Hope surgery went well and that recovery is speedy. I am interested. Ran Hanging Tree with you a couple of years ago (and Hell's Revenge at Safari) and would love to go back. I don't know anything about Pinnacle trail but am open to that idea as well. I'm just not sure about 4th of July weekend...

I drew out for_____, didn't Draw out for_____.

The wife is mad. She has 16 points (Deer) and I have 4 (Deer) Neither of us drew... I decided to piggyback off her points and put us in as a group for Premium Limited entry, rifle. She probably would have drawn on her own. I keep reminding her that they're my points too ;) since I'm the one that...

    Rental Property Advice

All of the above is great advice. I'll just reiterate, NEVER be in a hurry to get a renter in to cover the rent!!!! It will cost you way more in the long run. Month to month leases may be the way to go. Not very attractive to renters but easier for you if you have a bad experience.

    Buggy in a tow hauler?

The other thought I had for this type of situation was modifying one of the horse trailers that have living quarters up front. The load rating should certainly handle it. It wouldn't be up high like a toy hauler. But I'm not sure on the width and I don't think the living quarters are good for...

    Buggy in a tow hauler?

my wife and I considered this option for a little bit. We found one manufacturer at the RV show that made a trailer with a garage space long enough for a Jeep. I think it was 16 feet. The trailer was also heavy enough to hold that weight but the overall weight was ridiculous!definitely a triple...

if you could ask your grandparents or great-grandparent 3 things, what would you ask?

I actually had a middle school histoty teacher that made us do almost this exact thing only he provided the questions. I interviewed my mom's mom. I tape recorded the interview and wrote the report. That was a long time ago. Wish I had it now. Fortunately, grandma made it 94 years, passing away...

Which rv/5th wheel solution for full time?

Agreed, a slide in camper of any size will get very small to live in! The other downsides are; You'll need a 1 ton dually - to which your "house" is attached to. Sure, you can drop it off for extended stays. I'd recommend electric jacks. Price them out - you'll be surprised by how much trailer...

Nice! Long time Gary Moore fan. First introduced to him/his music when he opened for Rush in '84.

Which rv/5th wheel solution for full time?

Steve, I agree with the above comments. For what you are trying to do, a diesel powered coach towing and enclosed trailer would probably be best. The only downside I see is that it only leaves you with one car when you get where you're going. Maybe that's not an issue? Mike, I agree. We had an...

    5 Mile / Rattlesnake

I'll (we'll) be out there tomorrow around 9:00. Three jeeps and a group of scouts (14-16 year olds) Not sure how many scouts will be there, but if anyone is going anyway, wouldn't mind having you tag along - and provide more seats for butts. :D Orange CJ, Green TJ and Red TJ.

Front Ford HP D60 Pinion Angle Help

I think that's what you were referencing when you said, "Grind off your knuckles." The inner C is the part that hold the knuckle. Grind it off, rotate and re-weld.
