Trail rig: 416 Mog loaded with trail gear (10k lbs) 11-12 mpg city or freeway. About 8 or 9 on the trail. Tow Vehicle: Freightliner with Mog loaded on back (25k lbs) 11-12 mpg. DD: VW Jetta TDI average 48 mpg. In the end it all averages out. :)

I've never had a sami, but I have had a car exhibit this same behavior. It turned out to be ice forming in the top of the carb. Only happened in really moist, cold weather conditions. If you parked it for a few minutes, the heat would melt the ice and it would run great. Took forever to...

Will do. The wpt file is for loading into a freeware app called G7towin. I think it downloads and uploads to all the Garmin gps - works with my cheap eTrex anyway. The excel file is the same data just to look at or export to whatever.

Cut the guy a break! I have a Lincoln 135 that is handy for small jobs. If you use the flux core wire you can do 1/4 or 5/16 easy. 3/8 in multi pass. That being said, I agree with others in one way - I wouldn't try to use it with gas unless you are sticking to sheet metal.
