Went out last Saturday in search of big bucks. Found a few (among over 1,000 deer found between 10am and 6pm). Also saw about 200 pronghorn (half on the drive up that morning), 12-15 eagles and a mid-size bull moose (unfortunately poor lighting to get a good moose shot.)
This year the larger...
It's "truckness" will probably not be all that much different from the other smaller trucks on the market- Tacoma, Frontier etc.
Not at all what I would use for towing my horse trailer or boat, but for an off-road/expedition/hunting rig would be fantastic.
I my own SUV search, I have become excited about Xterras. For the price seem like one of the best choices. Your budget is significantly higher than what I want to spend, but I think you could get you a great Xterra and have cash left over.

ok, focused now on either a Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Nismo or H3.
Nismo edition has rear e-locker and front limited slip (think newer may be lockers on both). Big issue that I see is same as any truck- clearance and break-over angle with the longer wheel base.
Most of what I finding for...
In my previous thread, and the other ongoing thread on selecting a rig, one make that has not come up much is Nissan.
Based on recent experiences of a friend with an Xterra and my brother with a couple of Pathfinders, I am leary, but they are much less than Toyotas and the Frontier NISMO...
My thoughts are muddled:
Looking on KSL today, have a few main thoughts (anyone else wants to chime in on these feel free!)
1) 4Runner 04-05s, running $12-14k for V8 (V6 requires premium I noticed) with typically 110-135K miles. Biggest negative I see is need to turn around and spend $2,000...
