I've seen this work very well on binderbulletin.org (IH site). Only the original poster can make new posts in a classified thread. Replies from the original poster are bumps and "sold" announcements.

This event was a lot of fun. About 100 rigs and about 150 people for dinner. Thanks to everyone down there who made it a huge success. A few pics:
