    I'd worry about sticking the nose dropping off a ledge (remember muddy creek?) and not being able to get at the port to free spool the winch. I would rotate it up, ideally into the 45* angled section.

    Lookin good Steve. Just my luck you get to the fun stuff after a have to leave.... How did the flux core do welding those paint stirrers on? You'll have to trim the ends with a grinder cause Plasma won't work on wood.

    What about that occasional welding job in the windy driveway? What about that occasional job welding something you can't get into to grind/brush clean? At that price, it falls into my category of 'meh, I may need it later so I'll keep it' that, and I just bought a spool from HD for ~$65

    That's BS..I have Harbour Freight and Speedglas, they meet the same ANSI standards. 100% of the reason I bought the Speedglas is the adjustability. I can fit it to my large diameter cranium. I can keep the mask up when I want it. I can adjust the window up and down. I can add cheater lenses...

    Frame is 3/8" (done), winch mount is 3/8" and proposed at this point, skin will be 3/16" and there are no supports shown yet for the skin. -Frieed
