General Tech Tire balance or cupping issue

2012 JKU Rubicon with 20k miles, stock BFG 255/75/17 KM1's, 2.5" Teraflex coil lift with shocks @ about 3k mile. I noticed a bit of steering wheel shimmy starting around 55 mph. Also at 55 mph, on a tight enough left turn that the left side unloads a little, the driver front tire will start to...

Hole in the Rock Trail - 3-6-13

Steve has to learn how to use the image stabilization features in Premier Pro first. I shot that with my DSLR, hand-held, with a 200 mm lens and it's shaky enough to induce nausea. The scenario was Spork had tried going up a line at about 45* in the picture but was stopped by the ledge seen at...

Best solution to clean and prep metal with

From cleaning oil from metal for welding I've found that paint thinner seems to move the oil around as much as it cleans. Acetone or lacquer thinner work much better. If it is rusty, use Phosphoric acid on it first (available a HD, Lowes, and paint stores) to convert rust to ferric phosphate.

List Your Top Ten Favorite Paces You Have Been Or Seen in Utah

Started in Spanish Fork and there are lots of primitive campsites. Biggest problem I would have is that fact that the area is open range and you may have bovine company in your camp. When you get south of HW 31, the road is no longer "improved". There are no ledges or anything but count on...

Hole in the Rock Trail - 3-6-13

That was, I think, a one in a million trip. We saw all the weather options for the area in March, Sunny and 69* moving to clouds with a few drops of rain, to raining like all get out, to snow plastered everywhere the next morning. How many times would you have to go there to see water...

Jeep If you own a TJ read this!!!

You guys maintained the best attitude imaginable. I would consider myself fortunate to have you accompany me on any future adventure. In spite of the events, I learned a ton about what it takes to tow a vehicle out of a trail. I just wish you could have done the rest with us. Let me know if...
