496 miles??? Wow! My current bike has less than 2000 miles on it and I'm on my 8th rear tire with #9 going on soon.

For what its worth, I really like the MX71s. Performance wise, I think they're hard to beat with the varied types of terrain in UT. They don't chunk, but they aren't a real long-wearing tire either. I use a tire knife to keep the grabbing edges sharp and get the most life out of them.

Riding with Greg? Meh... I wanna ride with Derek so much that I'm getting off work at 6:30 am, going straight to AF to ride, catch a nap in the trailer after we're done, then going back to work at 6:30 pm.

I'm ready to go back! I'll probably throw on my new wheelset w/ trials tire, but a gearing change is what I'm looking forward to the most the second time around.

I'm still down for teaming up with you for the BOR race, but I'm not sure they're having a bike class this year. ????? I'm planning on catching at least a couple USRA races towards the tail end of the season too, if ya wanna meet up and pit together. Let me know...

OK, so I'm finally getting around to posting up the info and pics on my tranny cooler install... I've been using my '02 Tacoma double cab to tow a tandem-axle 8'x12' enclosed trailer. The trailer itself weighs around 3200 pounds, and loaded up with bikes and gear can weigh around 5000...

I bailed on it this year. Did it last year and had a good time (although I'm not much of an Endurocross racer). It can definitely get rough out there, did anyone leave in an ambulance this year?

In regards to the Christini bikes, I've seen one up close, and they are cool no doubt. However, nobody has brought up maintenance yet. Most dirtbike owners don't maintain their machines as well as they should to begin with. With all of the additional moving parts on an AWD bike, you had...

BTW, you won't see much of Sam in the videos. He pretty much rode everything clean. Based on the type of riding he does in the NW and Canada, things are pretty tame down here, so this was just another day riding for him. Greg and his new bike rocked it as well.

Man, I made it look alot harder than it actually was. It didn't occur to me that we were going to do this trail until we got down there. Otherwise, I would have geared down. I have a decently low first gear thankfully, but the 14/52 is just way too high for this stuff, and clutching it like...

I'd guess that the smaller of the two coolers would be fine, since you're gonna be towing half as much weight as I sometimes do.

As you know, we've got the exact same truck. I've been running the 11"x11" stacked plate cooler since last fall, so it will be interesting to see the difference in temps with the 11"x7.25" cooler. I should have my gauge and sending unit install done this weekend (using Autometer Phantom II...

FWIW, they're actually closer to $400 now. I think there was a price increase effective last summer.
