    Girlfriend wants a dirt bike!

Not sure man, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the 4'9" thing. Has she sat on any bikes yet? I think the size of wheels is irrelevant at this point. If she's comfortable and has fun learning to ride a particular bike, I think thats all that matters.

    Girlfriend wants a dirt bike!

I've heard they're good little bikes. Simple, reliable, and air-cooled. It looks like there is an "L" version thats taller. The newer ones have e-start. There is one on KSL right now thats $1200.

    Girlfriend wants a dirt bike!

Yeah, they are spendy and hold their value. How about a Kawasaki 110? (not to be confused with the 100) I can't remember if they have e-start though.

85 2Ts would be a alot of bang for the buck, but the power delivery might be intimidating and most of all, no e-start.

Honda CRF150F. E-start, air-cooled simplicity/reliability, and can be lowered if needed.

Its an XCF-W "Champion's Edition" :eek2:, I know, right? Lots of anodized orange trinkets and Red Bull graphics baby. :p

BTW, Kurt took it for a burn while we were down in Moab. His bike is about as close to mine as it gets, but a 450. Maybe he'll give you a less-biased opinion. :p

Day ride this Friday? White Wash by Green River... Dead Cow Wash!

I'd seriously go Greg, but I told my daughter I'd sit-in on her CCW class with her on Friday night.

Attn Von...or anyone else that wants to chime in!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... huh? what? Sorry for the late reply... Anyway, Jeeper (Brian) was correct about my main motivation to get the 280 kit. That is, I bought a nice 2006 CR125 last summer as I wanted a light 2T as a second bike. After riding it, I realized it just didn't have...

Ride Report; Moab on Motos, March 1st - 3rd

Yeah, there are two different manufacturers offering the same type of thing. I'd think this is a must have item if you've got a FI bike. I usually run an inline filter, and I still may run one in addition to the sock thingy if it doesn't appear to be trapping amall enough particles. Like I...

Ride Report; Moab on Motos, March 1st - 3rd

So, after the carb cleaning episode in Moab, I thought I'd try out one of these. Its "supposed" to work with the fuel cap on my bike, but we'll see how well it actually does. I'll let you guys know how it works out...

    Header pipe dent removal

Obviously, you're referring to Rot Box's method of using compressed air and a torch. I've never tried that, so he'll have to give us the specifics. I'm just gonna try the good 'ol freezer method.

    Header pipe dent removal

The 'ol Powerbomb took a hit in Moab, so I'll try it out. I'll take some before and after pics...

Ride Report; Moab on Motos, March 1st - 3rd

I can't agree more... one of my favorites as well! I got off to a rough start on Day 1 when my bike didn't want to idle or run right. Everything pointed towards the carb having something stuck in it, so I ended up removing and cleaning it there in the Slickrock parking lot. Unfortunately...

    Moab moto ride! March 2nd & 3rd

I took a 15 year hiatus from riding until starting back up in '07. Had I been riding all that time, I don't think I'd appreciate it as much as I do now. I did alot of wheeling and rockcrawl comps during that time, and dirtbiking is cheaper and more fun in my opinion. Just do it.

Where do you want to ride this year?

Yup, thats Carlo. We teamed up for a couple BITD races together back in '08. That sucks for sure...

Revloc/Dynaring auto clutch for Honda CR125 for cheap!

Yeah, if it was for a more popular application, maybe I'd ask more. Hell, if someone bought it and posted it up somewhere for more, I wouldn't care. I'll try to sell it here first, then I'll throw it on KSL if I have to.

Revloc/Dynaring auto clutch for Honda CR125 for cheap!

I took this out of an '06 Honda CR125 i bought then sold. I believe it will work in '02-'06 model years, maybe more. $50 Von @ 801-718-8452

Time for another dirt bike - which one to get for a short rider?

Yeah, some are maybe too proud, cool, or resistant to changed, but I don't feel any of those... If one could go 250 miles on one charge, then I'd consider it. Thats just not gonna happen any time soon (if ever, in my lifetime). Sure, my bike can only go a maximum of 75 miles without...

Time for another dirt bike - which one to get for a short rider?

I'd take him up on this... 1. You have an excuse to go riding. 2. That would be an inexpensive and great do-it-all bike. Hell, I'd be tempted to buy it if I could justify another bike right now.
