    Coronavirus

Thanks Cody. Very informative. I love talking business and building business and anything about it. I feel like getting the time of day from any branch manager is like pulling teeth at any financial institution. However probably worth investing the time and irritation into. I've heard tell...

    Coronavirus

I'm not saying it's bad to be connected. Nor am I implying anything nefarious. In the business world being connected is good. I'm just stating thay my observation is that most of the people in my circles that applied did not receive it. And wanted to share that info with you since your...

    Coronavirus

I'm not here to start a fight but both my businesses, my wife's business and about 15 of our friends' small businesses applied and did not receive any PPP funds. I even posted in this exact thread... I do believe a majority of businesses that got it were more connected because we applied the...

The "trophy husband" pro mod buggy build

I clapped my eyeballs on this thing the other day. I've got to say: it's quite well thought out. The packaging is pretty clever and I was especially impressed with the motor mounts. I was actually surprised at how small the chassis is but how big the interior is. I guess when you're 5'16" you...

The 4 link calculator by triaged on pirate is good too. ( I see the link above now but it's worth mentioning he put it together in about 2004 and I credit him with lots of the tech I know)...

That's what I'm told. It's got decent reviews. For $85 (before the coupon) it won't break my heart or the bank...

    Tap and die set advice

Well I think my wife bought me the more expensive Harbor Freight metric tap and die set for Christmas. I've done ok with a cheapo set for a couple years but I'll report on the quality. I'm sold on the idea of getting them at a place that doesn't ask questions about broken tools on their lifetime...

    Heating a Cold Shop?

When I replaced my wood garage door 5 years ago, I paid extra for an insulated door and do not regret it whatsoever. As a bonus the insulation makes it quieter outside when I'm working inside late at night. I'm sure my neighbors are glad I spent the money.:p

    Heating a Cold Shop?

Insulation was the best money I spent on my shop. Comfortable in the summer with a rolling AC unit and winter with a propane heater.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

I went back and looked at your first pictures, I was looking at it wrong. I can see now that it originally had a sprocket cover and I was thinking (incorrectly) that was the stator cover. I guess I was just wondering if you were going to reincorporate a portion of the original sprocket cover...

Rick, Does that side case not to need to be sealed since it's stator side?

    Can we talk tool chests?

@Kevin B. that Kobalt one has 18" deep drawers and the Husky @jeeper linked only has 15" deep ones or maybe I'm reading that wrong? I'd go in with a tape measure... It's hard to read the actual drawer dimensions on the Kobalt. Either way the standard duty ones are 21 guage. Vs 18 guage on the hds

    Can we talk tool chests?

@jeeper I remembered you have the same one as me! I think I paid $750 or $799 because it was a showroom model and had a missing key (that they mailed me). Do you still like it? The deeper drawers and higher rated sliders make the experience just a little nicer than the standard version.
