As I suggested earlier, I would be fine with heading out via Midway rather than Tibble Fork. I figure there will be a lot of traffic coming into the canyon by that time, and there are some narrow stretches which make passing oncoming vehicles... interesting. I have a map of the whole mountain...

This. Nevertheless, I'm willing to give it a shot. Maybe we can go in via the usual Tibble Fork entrance, make the Lake run, then head out by going over the mountain and dropping into Midway. I bet we'd see less traffic that way.

Personally, I feel that the way to true nirvana is via multiple vehicle ownership. :) Every vehicle--and I do mean every vehicle--is a compromise in one way or another. Whenever you optimize a vehicle for one specific need, you undoubtedly make it lousy for some other specific need. So...

My first TJ (a 2001 Sport I factory ordered) was lifted with a 4" TeraFlex long arm system. I absolutely loved how it rode and performed, and no Wrangler I've owned since has felt as good to me. Ultimately, I would be very happy to recreate that setup. I am leaning heavily in that direction...
