    Mineral Basin night run 7.7.12

I don't remember if his name was telecaster or stratocaster, but I do know that everybody adored him. What a great companion for a wheeling trip.

Dillon puts his front locker to good use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5TCtOu0JlA Everyone with an open front diff needed a couple tries to climb the left turn at the end of this video.

    Mineral Basin night run 7.7.12

I only got four photos of the whole trip. My group shot at the beginning of the trip: And here are a few shots of Dillon when he got caught between a rock and a hard place:

    Mineral Basin night run 7.7.12

Oh, no--I didn't interpret it that way at all, Steve. By the same token, I certainly wasn't digging on you for choosing to bypass that obstacle (so I hope you didn't think so).

    Mineral Basin night run 7.7.12

This had to be one of the best 'wheeling trips in memory. The scenery was beautiful, the weather was great, and you couldn't ask for a better mix of people to wheel with. Seriously, I would re-live this exact experience and be quite happy. I have a few photos and perhaps even a couple video...

    Snakes this Saturday: July 7th

I'm planning to go and my TJ is on 31s with a pegleg front and a limited slip rear--no locker at all. Yet.

    Snakes this Saturday: July 7th

I'm guessing he means the one in Highland at the corner of the Highland Highway (hwy 92) and the Alpine Highway (hwy 74). Is this correct? If so, it is called the Kountry Korner Chevron and its address is 5260 W 11000 N in Highland. BTW: when is Chevron gonna start sponsoring this web site?!?

New to off road, saying hi from West Valley

As TJDukit said, RME is the place to find friends for 'wheeling trips in Utah. Welcome to the group!

Other Region Upcoming Trip: Rubicon Trail Lake Tahoe, CA Sept 5-8th 2012

I have ordered a metric crapload of parts; some of them have arrived and others are still in transit. I intend to install all of them later this month.

Small disaster on the Snakes (a personal tale from August 2005)

As an epilogue, Ralph and I both ordered HD tie rods the very next day. :D (Which reminds me, I ought to install one of those while I'm upgrading my current TJ.)

Small disaster on the Snakes (a personal tale from August 2005)

While perusing this subforum, it hit me that I have a great little story to share with you all. Shortly after it happened, I posted the story in another car forum (complete with photos) but for whatever reason it never dawned on me to share it here. Today I am making up for that oversight and...

    Snakes this Saturday: July 7th

Making this trip is iffy for me since it would require getting off work early (and I won't know if I can do that until the moment arrives), but if you switch the venue to MB then I will do whatever I can to make it to the meeting place by 6pm.

    Snakes' Run July 4th

No--I never even tried it. I was in the lead coming up to it, but because it has been years since I have seen this obstacle I decided to survey it on foot first. We all parked and walked up to check it out. It has evolved into a more formidable challenge since the last time I drove through it...

    Snakes' Run July 4th

Rick has already introduced himself, so that base has been covered. I apologize for throwing out so many names over lunch and getting you confused, Will. It was great to be back out on the trail with you (and your family) today, Rick. And I'm glad you made it out as well. Even though your...

Anyone wanna go 'wheeling on July 4th?

I'm sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to meeting another Buckeye. I'm sure we'll congregate at the Chevron for a while, then eventually we'll all mosey out toward 5MP, then we'll stop to air down and such in the parking lot.... In other words, you may well catch up to us.

Anyone wanna go 'wheeling on July 4th?

It's out west near Five Mile Pass. We are meeting at the Chevron on the corner of Redwood Road and Lehi Main Street (hwy 73) in Saratoga Springs at 8am. Until we actually hit the trail, yes. Once we're "there" it is mostly in canyons and not as bad. Our early start will help the temp, too.

Anyone wanna go 'wheeling on July 4th?

In that case, I definitely want to watch you try it. I wonder if I can get my low-rider TJ through Radiator Rapids? Hmmm....

Anyone wanna go 'wheeling on July 4th?

CHANGE OF VENUE We'll still meet at 8am, but now at the infamous Saratoga Springs Chevron. From there, we'll head out to Five Mile Pass (the snakes) or Little moab, depending on popular opinion. Three of the confirmed vehicles (me, a co-worker and iconwill) have already committed to this new...
