    snow cave locations

I think about anywhere there is snow should work...as a scout snowmobiled in above Kamas. As an adult went a couple times above Liberty.

The perfect vehicle situation for Utah...help me decide?!

Have an 03 Montero Sport and love it. But not large enough for a family camping rig unless gear trailer used. But Would happily buy another one (mine is sitting at 180k or so.) One other thing to consider on your list is an extended cab Chevy pickup. My 02 extended cab is far more...

    Flaming Gorge fishing results

Love the Gorge. Used to spend a lot more time there then I do now. Last few years has most been deer hunt and fall fishing. Burbot bash started the night we left. And yes, burbot are very good. I like them breaded and deep fried or cut into chunks and boiled (just until floats) in salt water...

    It's a boy!!

Agree with both! I honestly have loved every stage of my kids (now 13, 16 & 18.) The way we interact changes, but still great and have loved it all.

    Flaming Gorge fishing results

water is down about 10' from last year. I think water surface temp was in low 40's (and air in mid-30s with dorky brother jumped in.)

    Flaming Gorge fishing results

Rounded up the extra bodies for the Flaming Gorge trip last week. Could not have asked for better November weather! Fishing was good- not great. Over two days members of the group landed about 6 Lakers in 20+ range, plus the largest burbot I have caught todate.

    It's a boy!!

Congrats! Advice....don't over-think things. Have basic supplies set up well in advance (our 2nd was 5 weeks early and spent his first few nights home in a laundry basket because his room wasn't ready yet), then relax and enjoy it. As others have said, children will be the greatest thing in...

    Home building questions

We did not put in a basement because of high water table, just a crawl space. The advantage is we had to actually unpack everything when we moved in, compared to the last time when we had unopened boxes 10 years later. I am also looking forward to the decrease junk build up as we lack the easy...

    Home building questions

I just completed a new home in May. Had a great experience, mostly because of the contractor we hired. He is a small-scale builder (couple of homes a year) so we had his full attention and he was personally on the job site nearly every day. He also build standard what would have been upgrades...

open spot to join Flaming Gorge trip

A couple friends and I have arranged a guided fishing trip next week at Flaming Gorge- trying to catch some of these: Part of the group canceled, so leaves us looking for one fisherman to come join us. Will be fishing Wednesday (13th) in the afternoon (be in Manila around noon) and...

    Tires?

I have ran several sets of BFG All-terrians and loved them- have gotten around 80k miles with them on my Montero Sport, currently have them both on the Monty and Silverado 2500. Running Geolanders on my 1500. They have around 45,000 miles on them in 2 years and hoping to get another year out of...

So, how was the deer hunt?

Sabatoa, nice work! Some nice bucks taken. Where? Deviant, where did you hunt? While I don't think I could ever walk away from a 30", I don't like getting deer out by myself anyway, let alone with a cast. At least sounds like folks enjoyed the hunts. That is the real point, anyway.
