Strongly agree. Have to patients currently in critical condition from rat bait ingestion. Too often people put it in places 'they are sure the dog (cat) won't find it' and are sadly wrong (not the situation in the current case, however.)

First "real" Moab trip was a December run of Kane Creek. Remember one of the drops into the creek scaring me more than a little. Steep bank, into partially ice over water that we could not tell how deep the whole was. Probably not all that bad in reality, but as newbie was exciting!

One thing my son and I found worked great is the little packs of flavored potato flakes (usually make 4 servings) you can get at the grocery store. Made an easy supplement to freeze dried meals. Cheap, light and can make them right in the foil package.
