Budget Boosted TJ on 31" MT/Rs plus a good amount of body armor. I managed Forest Lake with this setup last year (albeit a different TJ) and only rubbed a few times. I'm sure I'll make it, and I even try many of the out-of-the-way obstacles.

Many moons ago--we're talking ~10 years--I drove to Mineral Basin in an XJ on 32" tires. I did have rocker armor, though, and I used it once or twice in the rock garden. Other than that, it was smooth sailin'. I cannot comment on how it would be now. Why not come find out? ;)

Where did you find the step? Was it a plastic OEM one from a TJ? I ask because on Wednesday night my friend Marc ripped his off the passenger side of his Jeep. Once I noticed, we both began keeping an eye out for it... but we never did find it.

I don't know if you noticed it (you were focused on other things at the time), but when the tie rod failed our entire group let out a collective "awwww" out of sadness. Seriously. We really got a kick out of watching him on that rig. I look forward to heading out with you again.
