My brother needed some seats for his old Blazer so I took him out for his first trip to the pick n pull. We found some nice seats for him and while I was there I found one of the elusive XJ dana 44 rear axles !!!!! And with my 30% off coupon it cost me only $99. I should help him more often.

Yes they have a slip joint but unless they have been lubed recently they usually don't slide well.

Here is one way to do it. This wiring never allows the 24 V to get to the motor. If the switch is set to charge it just runs off of one battery. Dave

You would fry the batteries putting that much voltage on them while wired in paralell for 12v. You can wire a switch(double pole double throw), to have a charge position and a run position. The charge position wires the batteries in series instead of paralell (24V mode) then you could use the 24...

I have done several swaps on the older style chevys. We swapped the entire bodies which isn't as hard as you might think. On the older ones there are about 10-12 main body mount bolts that hold the whole thing on. The wiring has several main connectors that disconnect the body from the wires on...

When you go to 4.10 gears and above you have to change the carrier along with the ring and pinion. On your posi you can swap the internal posi parts into the new carrier which helps on parts. If you can find someone who has gone from a posi with 4.10 gears to a locker they would have what you need.
