Check with Utah Powdercoatings to see if they'll just media blast your sliders. I had Marshall powder coat me sliders this last fall after years of spray painting sliders... I will never spray paint another set of sliders. Ever.

$176 is too much? Trust me, you don't want a shabby garbage powdercoating. You might as well just spray can your sliders because a crappy powdercoat will most likely peel and flake off anyways, just like spray paint. Spray paint will keep you in the $20 range ;)
