The pump did come from Checker but it was a new Melling pump. No reman. Hopefully tomorrow i can get it put all back together and see if its working

The more I drove the more I got used to it. I got pretty decent at getting it really close to center just by feeling the back end move around. I think a return to center would be a smart thing to have but not a necesity at all. I honestly dont know if I will end up doing one or not...
