I think I get 12 with 35s, 4.56, bumpers, winch, etc. 2006 6 speed. It got the same with a budget boost and JK take offs and stock bumpers. My mileage has always sucked.
I actually had that thought after I posted this. I think I have had winter blend fuel in it before this week. I think I am going to get a few more miles on it and see what it does. I have thought about dropping a size in tire. See about possibly finding a tire that is slightly less aggressive...
I purchased a 2014 Ram 3500 this summer. It had 35 12.50 18 BFG AT on it. I just replaced them with Toyo AT2 in the same size. The Toyo has a slightly more aggressive tread pattern than the BF that I just replaced. Today I pulled a Jeep down to Alpine. Fuel mileage was awful. The readout was...
My 2014 ram gets 28-32 towing a 45 foot toy hauler...
Im leveled on 35s. Empty I see about 16. My flatbed is a large 26 foot 14k trailer empty it weighs 4800lbs. Any decent size rig and I am towing 10k. With a load like that I typically see close to 12. I towed a long tri axle...
Yes I was referring to Marc. I like your idea of a TDI 10. Would make a great exploring rig if you can get everything to function as OEM. Heat, ac, cruise, instrument cluster/dash.
A ls swapped s10 will not be cheaper. If you want to just shove one in and hope for the best then maybe. If you want one that works and functions like factory it will cost a lot more...
Sunroc would have it or any of the actual lumber yards will. The lumber at the Home Depot and Lowes is garbage. That's going to be a decent chunk of change vs just doing regular fir.
Weatherguard hands down. I would stay with aluminum. Steel rust out. I do the kind that sit on the floor of the bed. I dont have to remove it when towing fifth wheel. The top of the bed sides dont crack. I use a tonneau cover so everything is hidden out of site.
1st off truck needs a transmission. Slips. Reverse is gone. Still goes forward. Has TBI 350 runs really good. Ext cab short bed. Truck has about 185k on it. Its actually is decent shape for its age. Tires are OK not new not junk. Its the 6 lug 2500. 600 bucks
What is your new tow rig? If you have a smaller gas truck I would say keep the trailer as light as possible. I would guess a 16 foot 7k car hauler is 1800ish pounds. I had a 20 foot 10k pj that weighed 3200 pounds. Then I went to a 22 foot pj superwide with drive over fender that was 3800...
