I am really thinking about installing a Howell efi system on my cj-7. Wondering if anybody has used this stuff on a 4.2l jeep. Mainly looking for performance, relibility, and mileage. I have a Weber on it now it runs really good but it still coughs and sputters on the really steep stuff.
Didnt snap any pictures. Just didnt care enough. Ya there is great traction on the rocks. But with only 4 inches of ground clearance, plastic bumpers that scrap on everything, and tires that have less tread than the ones on my trailer it thought it was still suprising. When we passed them they...
We did Hell's Revenge this past sunday. We came across two brand new Grand Cherokee on the trail. First thought was who in there right mind would do this. Then we noticed the Michigan manufacturer plates on them. It was suprising what they were going up.
Well after spending a few hours driving moab rim this weekend I felt the need for more gearing. Looking around I see the teraflex kit has two piece gears. Has anyone had a problem with that design.
If you were a little closer id say buy my highboy. 1976, 460, 4 speed, 205, open knuckle 44, dana 60, seat and headliner have been redone, good 315/75/r16 tires on nice aluminum wheels, new exhaust from manifolds back with flowmasters 1400.00 bucks
I looked at the prices for the 4-1 kits it ads up in a hurry. I probably wont worry about it. I guess I might have to replace the clutch a little sooner. I have that tranny removal down to 35 minutes. Not that big of deal.
I was just playing around and figured out what my crawl ratio is. 48-1. Seems kind of high. I have never really felt the need to go lower. Is there a need for more gears. Is it something that just needs to be tried and ill kick myself for not doing it sooner.
They are not allowed at all in the national parks. We have wanted to run elephant hill and never have because of that reason. As long as you dog is not a pain in the butt most people dont mind your dogs running around when you stop.
Its her jeep!!!!
I wanted a early bronco before we bought the cj-7. She wanted a jeep so I bought her one(she said it was here turn for a toy). So now when the jeep needs something I can use "its your jeep not mine" works pretty good. The liscense plate reads "SWEET P". I say it is my jeep and...
Now what I know what triple threat is(never heard it called that). Bumpers would get hammered. Rock sliders would get used. But it is well worth it. That is a fun day on the trail. Meet some guys from colorado on there that had been drinking beer and rolled a 4-runner. Also they were in the...
I would say 7.3 excursion. But you want cheap mantaince. The 6.0 chevy is not bad. Cheap to work on. I have heard of a few guys loosing bearings on the bottom end. Might consider finding a 8.1 liter. Harder to find but either way you going to get bad mpg"s. So you might as well go for power also.
