You sure its the ac selector switch? Mine would do this all the time whenever a vacuum line came disconnected. Check the vac line on the driverside toward the firewall. If its off, plug it in and the selector will work again, its vac assisted.

I've used 4 different disconnects and hated all but the current ones. The Nth ones are awesome. Due to their lever action you can connect on uneven surfaces and they are super easy to use. Not cheap but saves a ton of frustration over the other ones. knowwheretojeep sells them...

sounds about right. Will JK spacers work on a JK? I have a set. For a little more money look at old man emu lift. Dana 35 should be ok with 32's for dirt roads. My good friend in Reno ran 35's on a 35 for years on some pretty tough trails.
