    Home HVAC Advice

Thanks for all the advice, I really appreciate it. I pulled things apart and checked the evaporator and it looks very clean, I know the POs had the system serviced annually and it looks to be in good shape. I also appreciate the insight on the DIY approach, looks like I'll be getting a few...

    Home HVAC Advice

Last summer the central AC in my home started freezing up. My furnace is 32 years old and the outdoor AC unit is 22 years old! So I'm looking to replace both. I've gotten a couple quotes from businesses I found off Google and was suprised at the price, it seems that labor is about half the...

    First buggy build.

5.38s w/ shaved ring and diff. My 14bolt on 45s got hung up on rocks several times last weekend and I kept wishing it was shaved. I figure if you're going to do it, now's the time.

    First buggy build.

Watching. Tire size? Have you already bought ring and pinion for the axles? If not, any thoughts on shaving the 14bolt?

    Gawynz Manche Thread

So this project has been on the back burner, it hasn't ran since I brought it home and even then it barely ran well enough to get it on/off the trailer. As I was getting ready for Britney's B-day Bash I got fed up with pushing the jeep around shop and figured if I spent some time getting it...

    Can we talk tool chests?

I blame this thread ha, so thank you. I've been putting off getting a bigger box for a while and I've got crap scattered and stacked everywhere, it drives me nuts. So, after I read this thread I figured it was time, I signed up for the ITC membership and set off to buy the US General 44" box...

General Tech Full Hydro steering comparisons

This thread has been helpful, I intend to upgrade my hydro steering in the near future. Currently on my buggy I have a TG 2.25"bore, 1.125"shaft, 6" stroke. on D60 w/ 45" tires... ya, it's not right haha. The little ram works surprising well though; it does bind up at times, and you can feel...

Willys Crawler 2.0 aka The Bastard

My 2 cents... I'm with the comments above, mount the links outside the truss/diff, triangulate both uppers and lowers, target a tad under 100% AS, consider mounting the lower links lower on the axle to regain some separation, maybe beef up the upper links and mount points a tad to account for...

Willys Crawler 2.0 aka The Bastard

First off, this build is killer, awesome job. I reread the thread quickly and maybe I missed it, but what uptravel and downtravel are you shooting for with the back axle. You using coilovers?

Suzuki TDI Swapped Samurai Truck Conversion

Correct, if your corner weight is 625lb and the spring rate is 250lb/in the spring would compress 2.5in at ride height. What is your target inches of uptravel and downtravel from ride height? Out of curiosity whats the reason for maximizing uptravel?

Suzuki TDI Swapped Samurai Truck Conversion

Correct. F = k*d, where F is your sprung weight at that corner of the vehicle, k is your spring constant (eg. 250lb/in), and d is your displacement or spring compression distance. For example, if your corner weight is 600lb, given a 14" spring that you want to compress to 9" to achieve...
