    39 inch irok questions

Yes, fairly regularly from the inside bead. You might want to try some Stauns with them.

    39 inch irok questions

I'm running 39.5 Iroks on the Mosquito. I run really low pressure (3-4 psi, basically flat). I like the traction I'm getting. The Iroks do fold easily and are really squishy, but that can be to your advantage on a light rig like yours. But the guys are right about burping. I lose pressure...

    5.3 oil pan

Is there an oil pan for the 5.3 that doesn't stick down as far as the stock one? If you swap a shallower pan in, do you have to replace the oil pickup with a shorter unit as well? Also, if you do this (assuming you can), does it lead to oil starvation problems on steep inclines? Any info...

    linking the truggy, finally!

I have a tech question related to what you're doing. I've heard that the front Dana 60 center section is cast iron and can't be welded to very well, but I've seen a lot of people do it. Anyone know the scoop on this?

    Chris's Buggy Build

I'm not sure on the time frame. The Mosquito took six months, but that included cumulative several months of downtime waiting for parts and taking time off for Spring semester classes. I'm hoping I can knock it out in three months. The belly height will be around 19-20". It's a little low...

    Chris's Buggy Build

Well, it's time for round two. The Mosquito is a blast and I don't have any intentions of getting rid of it, but I've been playing with a new chassis design and it's time to build it. I made some changes that will get about 150 lbs. worth of mass down a lot closer to (if not in line with) the...

    GM 5.3/TH350

You'll have to talk to AA to see if the kit will work with a TH400. The guy I bought the engine from (Shawn) says his source will do harnesses for around $500. He told me the name of the source a couple times, but I can't remember it. I'll have to call him and get it. I also found a site of...

Yes, I'm keeping the Mosquito. Glad to hear you're putting an Atlas in your rig.

    GM 5.3/TH350

OK, Camdawg, you've forced the cat out of the bag. No, I'm not putting the 5.3 in the Mosquito (it would tear it apart). I just picked up a 1989 YJ with a front 60 and rear 14 bolt with Detroits, disc brakes, 4.56 gears, new 37 inch Trepadors, Atlas 4.3, fuel injected 4.0 and jeep automatic...

OK, question here. Will a TH350 bolt directly up to a GM 5.3L?

Yeah, surprised the heck out of me. I didn't expect to get far because I couldn't get any momentum. But the thing just kept churning and slowly advancing up the hill.
