Death Wobble with Hydro-assist cause return line to pop off?

"should never be pressure in the return line" is exactly what I thought. it is the "should" that I am worried about. Of course we are going on vacation on Sat (not in the jeep) and it is killing me that I can't spend the next few days figuring this out. There is a chance that the serp belt...

Death Wobble with Hydro-assist cause return line to pop off?

So my wife was driving home today and hit a bump and said it felt like a Death Wobble, she had to slow down for it to quit. The xj then spewed power steering fluid everywhere, the return line coming off the steering box has a hose clamp holding the hose to the line, this hose came off (spraying...

General Tech Supercharger expert in Salt Lake area?

Not really in SL but, Turbo Labs in Orem would be worth a call. Joe seems like he knows quite a bit about forced induction and performance mods in general. Nathan

    Jeep Willys 'Crawler' project

My father in law has a willy's sitting in his garage... it is under boxes, etc, but the way things are going we might be able to see what he wants to do with it. He had the idea of a very stockish willys to drive around his property out near Duchene, but it looks like he is going to sell that...

    Toyota 1995 Tacoma Build

In my Bronco I had a hand throttle, just a bicycle brake lever/cable routed to pull on the gas pedal. It helped a ton for wheeling, especially when you don't have a ridiculous crawl ratio. I haven't put one in the xj for 2 reasons, no friggen space, and I don't feel I need it, I don't drive...

    Sterling 10.5

That is one thing I hate about "the 14 bolt" is there are about half a dozen "14 bolts" to me it is the late 70's to mid 80's with the removable pinion, the 3rd pinion bearing and a detroit that is pretty much a lunchbox locker. Yeah those "new 14 bolts" are sweet, I would love to have a good...

    Sterling 10.5

I do love the old gm 14 bolt, but there is something to be said for using an axle that isn't 30 years old. the biggest advantage I see is really good disk brake with parking brake setup, something the old 14 bolt lacks.

    Proto Fab

"shipping to my door" So you don't have it yet? I hope you don't have to edit your positive review. In my build thread I gave positive remarks to the companies that were great to me, Clayton, Ruff Stuff, RidgidCo, hell even Duffy Machine surprised me, I didn't mention in the thread about the...

    To coilover or no??

My main reason for not going with coil overs was; everything that I saw you needed a very high stable mounting point. I built an xj, so building a very high sturdy mounting point was more than I wanted do, especially in the rear, I didn't want to have to do what rockmonkey or badger did to get...

    JL 2018 Wrangler Spy shots

I didn't see this posted up here yet; http://www.autoblog.com/2016/05/18/2018-jeep-wrangler-unlimited-spy-photos-best-look-yet/ It has the blankets on it so you can't really see it, but it looks a lot like a JK. There is still so much speculation, but one thing is for sure, Jeep will sell...

What to do? Repair or replace?

Is the cam lock out kit something that could be transferred to another motor? Maybe thinking of "putting $1800 into a high mileage motor" isn't the right way to think of the lockout? Maybe think of it as $1800 to keep the truck reliable and then if in a few years you need a new motor you...

    Behemoth Shorty/Dana 300 $1350

I am selling a Behemoth Shorty attached to a Dana 300 with a rear driveshaft and one cable that could be used to shift the Behemoth. $1350 OBO for everything. Behemoth/Jacob went away a while ago, the main issue people had with him is that he could never deliver products on time. It is...

    Rock-Trac help

My father in law is selling a behemoth dana 300 setup. He had it in his tj but decided he didn't really want/need the complexity of it. We installed it, he put about 20 miles on it, it wasn't right, when I took it apart we realized that we forgot to put a bearing in it so the planetary shifted...

Recent pictures or video of the Waterfall on Gold Bar Rim?

I haven't been on Gold Bar Rim in about 4 years, everything in Moab has gotten more dugout. I looked at the RR4W trail description it seems the the same as it has been, 33's one locker. Is there a winch point at the top of the waterfall? I am pretty sure there was not last time I did the...
