The shop said my front driveline angle is too harsh atm. Temporary they slapped on a 6* shim. I plan on getting the Dana 60 pumpkin turned down the road. Not a huge priority right now.

Very nice steering components. I'll be watching this. I anticipate doing some of this on my blazer this summer.

What are your plans for the drivetrain and 24V system?

Thanks! Nice to see another blazer owner all up in this mug:) You should start a build thread when you are ready.
To answer your questions, I'm in the process of beefing up the 14 bolt axle, getting custom hd drive shafts made and might turn the T-case for better clearance. Im keeping the 24v system intact.

I really like Offroaddesign.com's lower profile front bumper. I took measurements and emailed them asking if their product would fit with the Diy4x.com front hangers. They emailed me back saying I would have to cut small sections out of their bumper to get it to fit.

The front Diy4x.com spring hanger body mount portion was too far forward for the bottom body mount bushing to fit back on. Had to grind the washer to get it to fit.

The more I think about it... The more I regret getting that front hanger. Its a great product! But after purchasing it I found it's a lot cheaper to just relocate the existing stock front hanger and just as effective.
Ck5.com has a great tech article on this. Link is below.

With the rear shackle flip n switch hanger install, there was a "Hump" on the frame that got cut off so the hanger would fit flush with the frame. Cutting the L lower part of the frame most likely weakened the frame. So I called shop and told them to wield the rear front stock hanger and rear shackle flip n switch hanger to the frame to avoid possible frame breaks.

A friend of mine wanted me to show him a pic of the Dana 60 axle moved forward with tire mounted. A stance pic. While I'm at it, I'll show yal the front fender hang that's going to get cut off. This cutting will help with better approach and no chance of tire rub.

Oh yea I forgot to mention that the M1009 did not have a block heater for it's diesel motor. So I installed a 1000 watt block heater just to be on the safe side. Ya never know when temps could reach in the negatives.
So far I have not needed to plug it in. But then again... I've only driven it 100 miles since I bought it over 1 year ago lol!!

wow, ORD is charging a LOT for what looks like DIY's OLD kit-- the new ones are bent, like the old ORD brackets were!!

Funny how things go I guess. Carry on! Flex looks GREAT

Lol! Maybe they stole each others designs at the same time lol! Reason why i got the ord disk brake kit was cuz of the tech install articles. They are both good kits:)

Since were on this subject of doing a 14bff disk brake conv...

CALIPERS!
I see 3 options when choosing a set of calipers for the 14bff dbc from Ord.

1. Brake rotors from a '73-'87 GM 3/4T front axle and calipers from a '73-'87 1/2 or 3/4T front. No E-Brake on this caliper. However! There is a Driveline E-Brake kit you can buy from...
http://www.highangledriveline.com/e_brake.html

2. Brake rotors from a '73-'87 GM 3/4T front axle and 1976-1978 Cadillac Eldorado rear calipers(emergency brake equipped.)

3. Brake rotors from a '73-'87 GM 3/4T front axle and New TSM GM Calipers with E-Brake Equipped. ONLY sold threw TSM. Here's link...

I personally am going to go with option 3... I have heard no bad reviews from anyone via google. Lol! Only complaint is the cost being bling bling.

I have read a lot of bad reviews on the eldorado calipers not being effective.
