Couple issues that I need to work out. Nothing too major. I'll post all the pictures of the build later this week or next. For now though, here is how she sits.

This is the coolest photo. Killer stance, great paint job. It gives it a no nonsense look. Let us know how she did off road.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! It did excellent yesterday! I used to think my ZJ wheeled pretty well, but wow, it's amazing what an extra 2.5" of wheelbase and a much wider stance gets you. There are only very minor things I still need to address before I leave for Moab next Sunday. Had to build a tube fender for the trailer today :D

Where will you be staying while at Moab? If you are around the Pack Creek Campground look me up. We will be hard to miss. Lots of kids running around, with larger than life trucks.

Alright. So not sure where to pick back up, so I'll just start with the way the pictures are on my camera. I apologize if it jumps around, I have ADD and like to work on multiple projects at once ha.

This is how most of the ZJ was built. In my tent at night will the lights on. My neighbors were probably wondering what the hell was going on when this is all they could see.

Coil perches just tacked on with the Mig. I fully ARC welded them on with Lincoln 308 Stainless rods that are designed for different metal. This is how I welded the upper CA mount to my old D44 that held up for 3 years as well as the current CA mount for this axle.

On to the tail-light build.

Onto the full-hydro. I am running a 10" ram, but only have 9" of travel, so I wanted to put some internal spacers in. I couldn't find any write-ups online about how to go about doing that, so I just decided to figure it out. Hopefully this benefits someone else, although I'm not sure all rams are put together the same way.

24956_506546937030_330900191_182140_1308271_n.jpg

Inside there is a small tube...looks copper.
24956_506546961980_330900191_182145_7321963_n.jpg

Use a spanner wrench. I made one of the most ghetto ones I could for the job. Turn the outside piece and the "clip" will work it's way out.
24956_506546966970_330900191_182146_4934109_n.jpg

24956_506546971960_330900191_182147_4010698_n.jpg

Slide the ram out
24956_506546942020_330900191_182141_4664348_n.jpg

Take your desired spacer, and put it on the ram. I used 1.5" .120 DOM for mine. 0.5" thick.
24956_506546952000_330900191_182143_7192865_n.jpg

24956_506546947010_330900191_182142_7152123_n.jpg

Once that's done, slide the ram back in, put find the hole on the end piece, and insert the "clip" again.
24956_506546976950_330900191_182148_4151680_n.jpg

I applied some grease to help it go in smoothly
24956_506546956990_330900191_182144_2799862_n.jpg

24956_506546961980_330900191_182145_7321963_n.jpg

Then you're done. Your ram will now max out earlier with the new internal stops. It's easy enough to modify again later if desired.

I decided to push my front axle forward due to the new full-hydro setup. I wanted a better approach angle, and a longer wheelbase. I was at 109", so I pushed the front axle forward 2.5"
24956_506547041820_330900191_182161_903965_n.jpg

All painted up. If you'll notice, I've changed the hub to match my rear 6 on 5.5 lug pattern. So to do this I am running Chevy outer knuckles and outer 35-spline shafts, then purchased some of the 6 lug hubs from Six States. The rotor and calipers are the same as my old D44 setup. Just 3/4 GM stuff IIRC.

Realized that I was for sure going to rub the front with how much I pushed it forward. Grabbed the plasma and went to town.

Still a minor issue, nothing that can't be trimmed more or bump stopped though.

Tested out the new GoPro HD Hero this past weekend. Figuring out where I want to mount it. Here are a couple videos...

I have no idea why the bottom half is green. I used Windows Movie Maker to edit these and crop them down to be shorter. The entire video was over an hour long. It doesn't look like that in the editor while viewing it, only after I publish it.

Here are some pics from EJS. Very pleased with how the ZJ performed! Definitely harder on the rig than I've ever been and it held up well....with the exception of the rear window haha.
