Can they be used as spares? If you have a 30 spline inner sorry about all the questions it's just your rig is what I wanted mine to be lol

Only difference between the 24 spline and 30 spline is where it goes into the birfield itself. Its still always been 30 spline at the carrier and at the drive flange

Okay got it you said you would have 2 spare 24 spline birfs so I though you were saying you would use that on a 30 spline inner .. So you will basically have a whole set of spare shafts? Not just birfs

Haven't done much interesting on the buggy, but my new headers came in today. FWIW, these are 2UZ headers for a 4.7L Tundra. They were cheap. Much cheaper than the initial ones I listed.

I will have to cut the pass side header just below the collector and rotate it 180* and re-weld it back together. This way I can route it up over the top of the bellhousing to the driver's side. These should flow much better than the stock ones. As you can see on the stock one, 3 out of 4 of the tubes just terminate 90* with no bends for flow at all.

The rest of the exhaust tubing will be here from Speedway tomorrow. I hope to be able to get a crossover tube mocked up at the very least. Then I can start laying the floor and building the dash around what is there.

So, the new hood came in today. I got some of the trimming done on it to get it into place. Still need to cut out the shock hoops and coilovers mounts, but I love the FJ-40 look now.

sweeeeet what size exhuast tubing?

2.5 on the crossover to 3" out. I'll be running a Walker Round turbo style muffler. Ran the same one on my Linked 4runner with the Supercharger and loved it. Fwiw, this motor will really be able to breathe now. Originally, this motor had three cats on it and four mufflers.

Finally getting some headway. Welded up the rear axle and rear links today as well as the rear section of the halo, coilover mounts, and started mocking up the Artec front ram mount. This is a DIY ram mount, so its basically a mount without any cutout for the diff. So, you cut that portion out yourself.

This thing trusses the hell out of the front axle, and I am still not done yet. I plan to add more trussing over the top of the axle to tie in the upper link mounts together as well as build pads for the air bumps. Then there will be a tie in from the upper truss to the hydro mount.
