Anyone into 3D printing?

I’ve been running the Bulletpoint Mounting system in my vehicles for about a year and a half now for my phone mount.

They make an adapter for the JL/JT dash that replaces one of the dash hardware with a ball mount, but I don’t have a JT anymore so I wanted to transfer my mount over to the H2.

I mixed grey and black resin to try to color match the plastic of the H2 dash, and printed a ball mount that utilizes one of the factory dash bolts.

Filament printed some caps/plugs for the intake manifold and the trans shaft outputs.

SxS or not, that engine won’t run with a cap on the intake.

Good idea! That would be a good one to make out of TPE so if the chains needed to pull out it would just bend and open instead of snap. (I'm currently obsessed with TPE)

I hate twisted chains. My OCD thinks they look bad and my shade tree engineer thinks they can't be as strong when twisted up. Not backed by any science, just my feels.

Any rigging course will tell you twisted chains will kill you and send you straight to the lava pits of doom. But in reality twists in a chain lessens the strength drastically.

Can we get some of these mini balls printed? This one looks like it’s just an old 1/4” rod end, but something printed would be great.

It just stops where it’s at when the runout sensor trips, then toss on a new roll and hit resume. Works very well

V1.0 of portal boxes. I’m not going to print the others yet because printing this one has given me a few parameters I already want to change for the next version.

Orienting it was the only way I could get it to fit in the build volume. Used almost all of the 450mm z height.


I’ve already redesigned it to be smaller and better looking 😂
