Hello to all. I am trying to get everyones opinion as to what you think is the best MT tire for a Dual Purpose Rig. I have run MTR's for 7yrs. on my jeeps but now it looks like I may have to choose a new tire because I do not like the new style. Thank you Brandon

Ah just found it.....Yeah I don't blame you, those are hideous!

I'm a BIG fan of the new KM2's from BFG, I think those would be the next best thing for a weekend warrior.

I have never had a problem with BFG MT's(KM) on my daily driver. They are not too noisy and are lasting extremely well. Offroad I've never had an issue running them about 12 psi and get plenty of grip. I'm not as hard as some are on them, but they have worked well for me. When these need replaced I will be going with KM2's.

Are they doing away with the old style Wrangler? It thought those were an addition to the line up.

My last tires were a set of the old style BFG MTs. I bought them with 90% tread and sold them with about 30% after about 30K miles. They worked great for what they are.

I don't like the way the Toyo's look (probably because It seems like every flashy, lifted full size has them) but, how well do they actually work?

I personally would think that Toyo MT's would be great for a street only rig, but the hard rubber that makes them last so long doesn't sound like it would be good for off-road.

I like the Hankook Dynamic MTs. I ran 31s on my old XJ daily driver. I had them siped to get a little better performance on the icy South Dakota road. They performed great on the road and on the trail. Probably one of the best tires for the money.

A friend of mine runs the Maxxis Bighorns on this XJ daily driver. He is absolutely in love with them. They do great on the muddy oilfield and great in the snow.

I don't have them anymore, but they seemed to last every bit as well as the set of MTR's I have right now....plus you can't beat the price.

I've never been impressed with Toyo's offroad. Plus, the fact that the toyo comp buggies only put toyo's on when they were being paid to do so doesn't speak that highly of them.

X2 on the Maxxis BigHorns. I had them on my Yota and LOVED them. They were quiet on road and did great in all off road conditions. I daily drove them for 5 months and they seemed to wear great!
