Got it out on the snakes for a shakedown run today, other then the trailer fender getting dented when the wife off loaded:rofl: it the day went well. REALLY need to get the TBI on though and the 2wd steering box I got from PNP has a bunch of play but I"m ready for Moab!:greg:

Did awesome on the way to the trail:rofl: Buddy said I was crusin at 80:rofl: Speedo was disconnected.

Came down off a ledge just after leaving the parkinglot of BFE and smacked the tcase on a rock and cracking the tailhousing of the tranny:mad: 2 inches in either direction and i would have been fine. Ruined the trip but I now have a brand new tranny with a stage 1 shift kit:greg: and yanked the tcase drop to get it a little higher.

I guess an update is in order, The 2wd box from PNP wasn't the whole culprit, I ripped it all the way through the frame, didn't notice until 2 days before the Moab trip at 4:30 PM...ORD bailed me out and Overnighted a repair kit and brace...those guys rock! Slapped a new Napa box in just to be safe.

Ended up using some DIY4X shackles in the rear and it leveled it out nicely Man they are BEEFY! and after trying what seems like 100 ujoint straps I bought some GLO Caps for the 14 bolt.

I'm Building a rear bumper right now as well. I bought a used one on CK5 that was built by Blazen Offroad and hacked a bit, got some of the tube bent then the snow hit so it sits, its going to have a swingaway carrier with 2 mounts on each side so with a pull of some custom pins you can open it from either side.

that sounds awsome! To bad on the Moab trip though, that sucks. Need some pics of the bumper when you get it done, I would like to see it. Where did you find the caps for the 14 bolt? I'm worried about my straps giving way to.

They're from great lakes offroad and seem to be holding up well

Those caps are interesting. I just switched out the yoke on mine to the ubolt style. I needed to replace my yoke anyways since it was so grooved from the seal that it leaked. Your blazer could almost be considered brand new with all the new parts.

Very nice Alf! Very nice indeed:) Any more updates?

sadly no...life happened and I haven't had time to work on it lately. Between work and school 4 nights a week I have had very little time and what I do have has been spent on the house remodel:-\ But at least when i do start I'll have a nice new bar in the basement in to rehydrate in.
