Break in the Susan Powell case?

I feel bad for the family, law enforcement and the social workers who were involved. I have been involved in child welfare for the past 14 years and can tell you from experience that cases with bad outcomes for the children are VERY hard on everyone who worked on the case. It is very hard to accept that individuals still make poor choices in spite of everything that can or has been done. From media reports, everyone around Josh painted a picture of him being narcissistic and that in combination with a depresssed person is a very volatile mix.
A request of all who read this post if you will:
1. Hug your children, hold them close and tell them how much you love them.
2. In your prayers, remember not only the family but law enforcement, social workers and others in the community who may have been impacted by this selfish act of violence.

this whole thing is crazy, those kids never deserved any of it, they were put through way to much. i read a article last night on this and i just don't see how anyone could do that to their children. i was speechless after reading that article. i never wish for my kids to get a little hurt let alone anything like this. my house in washington is kinda close to that house, we knew a few people of susan's family, my prayers go out to them. the kids were also reported of saying that "if you go to the mine, you will find mommy." I can't imagine what type of pressure their father had been putting on them to not say anything. the only good thing that has come out of this is that they are with their mom now.

Just to clarify...I mean no disrespect to the innocent dead. Kids died, and it is coming out that they were brutalized previous to their deaths which is a tragedy. The system failed miserably and a woman and her children died as a result.
I find ways to smile in the face of ugliness in this world. I do not allow myself to grieve for those I do not know, it does me no good and certainly does them no good. Life is a beautiful experience, death is unfortunate but I choose to have a good time and enjoy life. My humor does nothing to the dead and if you take offense I suggest you take a look inside and really really focus on how my comments "Hurt" you. They are just words...you choose to be "Offended". Choose to enjoy your life, don't choose to get offended...it does the innocent dead no good.
Smile...it makes people wonder what you're up to...

You cannot make people offended. All you can do is be responsible for your speaking and in turn they have to be responsible for their listening. If someone blames you for being offended, they're not being responsible which is really the big problem in the world.

I wasn't offended by your comments. All my friends will tell you I enjoy shock factor and making people feel awkward. I just don't think kids getting attacked by a hatchet and then burned to death is funny. I guess you do. Oh well, this world is cool because people can be different, think different things, and laugh at different things. I might have laughed and made jokes too, before I had kids. Now even though I have never met those kids it still makes me sad. All that having a good time and enjoying of live you speak of will never happen for those kids. Maybe you are right to smile in the face of ugliness, the kids don't get that choice it was taken from them. It won't ruin my day, my week or change my happiness. I can still feel sympathy for those involved. I couldn't have a few years ago. I was too self centered. Maybe we should ALL take a look inside of us.
I won't lie I have to give you shock factor points, which I assume is what you were going for.

The news played several 911 calls placed by the social worker, Josh's sister, his lawyer and his boss. The social worker got the run-around for several minutes. It was frustrating to listen to knowing what the outcome is just minutes later. Josh's sister explained that she was worried he was going to commit suicide because of the emails and voicemail that she got from Josh.
Interesting.. Could be nothing, could be something.

Very interesting... so what's the next step here? If the mine is unsafe to go down, what is the next logical step? If it's obvious that the mine was recently tampered with and the evidence is adding up, why not do some work in the mine and see if they can find anything?

He did have a large gas can in his car the next day. I also believe Steven Powell knows where she is and isn't talking, he can rot in hell too.
As I know Stu and have been with him in some crazy spots before his opinion is that it would not be safe to get through fill that is in the shaft due to the burning of the timbers.

... don't know that a gopro is going to do any good once you can't see the rockcrawler anymore.. maybe a tethered system or a system with a wireless camera on it...
