I didn't think about the big trucks trying to make those turns. Or what happens when you get one truck that can't make it all the way into that intermediary lane, or someone trying to sneak in when they should just wait, and that is going to grid lock the intersection for the people going straight through. What a disaster.

Awsome. I never thought I would see something even more retarded than a circle jerk (traffic circle). They better be putting in a freaking generator for the traffic lights. Can you imagine trying to get through that thing with the lights out?
I personally like the traffic circles, much better than all the 4 way stops that always make everyone stop. At least with a round-a-bout you can keep moving when the intersection is empty.
You are right on the Continuous Flow not working when the lights where out. That would be impossible to negotiate a left hand turn. Your best bet would to make a right turn and get away from the mess.
